These are unprecedented times in our communities. With the recent announcement declaring the Province of Saskatchewan in a State of Emergency, our thoughts and concerns for our employees, clients, partners, and community members are stronger than ever. We are vigilant in our approach and are monitoring and adapting hourly as the situation surrounding COVID-19 continues to rapidly evolve. We continue to activate precautionary measures to protect the safety of individuals and our community.
Working Remotely
We maintain our focus on delivering high-quality legal services to our clients. In addition to previously activating the initial phases of our Pandemic Response Plan, as of March 19, 2020, to further align with the recommended pandemic protocols from Canadian Public Health authorities who are best to guide us in this difficult situation, we are encouraging employees to work remotely if they can do so until further notice. This, combined with limiting public access to our physical locations in both Saskatoon and Regina, is what we believe to be a necessary step to do our part in reducing the severity and longevity of this pandemic.
For You Our Clients
What this means to you, our clients, is that our interactions will change in format only. Through the use of technology, lawyers and staff continue to have access to electronic mail, our phone system, electronic files, and everything else required for a seamless transition. We understand the pressures that you are under, and we are working tirelessly to research, provide solutions, advice, and complete transactions on your behalf. We understand and are able to support the unique challenges you may be facing as a result of this Pandemic and Provincial State of Emergency; we are here to help.
As well, as long as we are able, our offices will remain open with limited support within each location to manage essential in-person client meetings and things like deliveries, physical mail, and accounting matters. Our Lawyers will work with our Information Technology experts and you, our clients, to support using technology and limiting face to face interactions. If you need to pay an invoice, we are able to facilitate payment through credit card or arrange for Electronic Fund Transfers; please give us a call to discuss your options.
Going Forward
We acknowledge the continued severity of this situation and although we may not know the timing or scope of the impact going forward, please be assured that we have everyone’s health, well-being, and safety in mind. We will keep you updated if further changes to the method of delivery of our services is required, as we are well-positioned to assist you with any challenges you may face as a result of this worldwide pandemic.
